Advice for First-Year students...

Make the most of the time given to you while in college to prepare the best you can for your chosen vocation.

Vocational Story:

I have been concerned for the wellbeing of people in need and for those who are vulnerable for as long as I can remember. I decided at a young age to work in a profession that allowed me to participate in the equipping of people with the necessary tools to move from poverty and dependence to independence. I chose to complete my bachelor’s in the area of social work and then sought a master’s degree in special education. To round-out my preparation I completed a doctorate in school psychology. After many years of work in public and private schools I sensed a call from God to enter higher education. I believe that the best way for me to accomplish my initial goal is to assist in the preparation of other professionals.

Hobbies:

Gardening, reading, sports spectator, and home decorating.

Favorite Quote:

From everyone who has been given much, much will be required; and to whom they entrusted much, of him they will ask all the more. Luke 12:48b NASB
