Theatre and Dance at Messiah College

In the Department of Theatre and Dance, you'll work as an actor, designer, or director in the exciting world of live theatre, television, and film in a wide variety of venues. You'll experience onstage and backstage life as a member of high quality on-campus productions. Or maybe you'll train with theatre professionals from across the United States and Europe, intern at a professional theatre in London, or study at the Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin.

At Messiah College, dance is much more than movement, rhythm and fitness; it's a creative form of worship. You'll participate in dance as a significant form of human expression and communication. You'll come to better know and understand the world through dance while serving God and others.

Art at Messiah College

 

The visual arts-printmaking, photography, drawing, painting, sculpture, graphic design, textiles, ceramics, or art history-define our Art and Design department. You'll hone your crafts in eight modern studios and expand your gifts collaborating with accomplished faculty on historical art research ventures, professional journals, sculpture projects, and public installations. Internships at galleries, graphics firms, museums, or with local artisans will put you in touch with the art world.

Music at Messiah College

As a Music major, you'll build technical and expressive talents to perform at an advanced level or teach music through on-and off-campus opportunities, including a large variety of ensembles and solo performances. You'll also participate in international tours, recording projects, and performances with professional ensembles.
