Returning to his alma mater from a position as audit supervisor with Harry Ness and Company in 1986, Professor James Krimmel teaches accounting courses and has given leadership to actively build relationships with local, regional and national CPA firms that recruit at Messiah College. He and Professor Thomas Chilcote co-developed an integrated writing curriculum for accounting majors.
Professor Krimmel is passionate about linking his accounting students to practical accounting applications. He serves as a consultant to 40-plus organizations in Central Pennsylvania as a CPA and Partner in Hamilton and Musser, P.C. He has an M.B.A. degree from Shippensburg University.
In 2002, Professor Krimmel became a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). This certification along with his extensive experience with fraud and internal controls has led to several opportunities for Professor Krimmel, along with current students and alumni, to travel to Ghana (2005), Ukraine (2006, 2008) and the Philippines (2008) to conduct Fraud Workshops for World Vision and Hope International.
He serves as a board member of the West Shore Evangelical Free Church. He and his wife, Jackie (also a Messiah College alum) are the parents of three children.
