Welcome to Postal Services

YES, The Campus Post Office is open and receiving mail and packages!  The Campus Post Office is located in the first floor of the Eisenhower Campus Center

Fall 2021 Semester Info:

Regular Window Hours have returned to the Campus Post Office!  Stop by Monday through Friday, between 9am and 4pm, to receive packages, ask questions, or purchase US Postage.

Where Can I Find My Unit Number? 

Your unit number will be available after August 6th by logging into FalconLink.

  • From FalconLink, select 'Self Service Main Menu'
  • Select 'Personal Information'
  • Select 'View Addresses and Phones'

Your 4 digit unit number is avialbe in Self Servce.  From Falcon Link click on "Self Service Main Menu", then click on "Personal Information", then click on "View Addresses."  Your Unit Number is a four digit number after One University Ave. 

All mail and packages sent to you must have your unit number on them.

When Can I Ship Items to Campus?

We will begin accepting mail and packages for new students beginning August 6th. Please be sure to use your unit number. Your packages can be picked up at the campus post office upon your arrival. You will have notification in your mailbox if we have received a package for you.

The Campus Post Office recieves scheduled deliveries Monday - Friday from the following carriers:

  • USPS (Us Mail)
  • UPS
  • Fed Ex

The Campus Post Office recieves regular deliveries from various other carries, including Amazon.  These are not standing deliveries to campus, but Amazon is on campus most days. 

Once a package arrives on campus, the Campus Post Office will receive, scan, and distribute your package to a locker or your campus mailbox.  You will then receive an email from postoffice@messiah.edu, letting you know you can come pick up your package. 

If you receive a delivery notification from your vendor that does not necessarily mean your package is ready for pickup.  The Campus Post Office needs to scan and place your package before you receive the notification from us.

Short Answer: It Depends. 

Amazon Lockers (PERCH):

If you order an item and select the delivery location "Amazon Locker - PERCH", it will be delivered to the Amazon Lockers located just past the Campus Post Office.  You will receive a delivery notification from Amazon with pick up instructions.  Please Note: the Campus Post Office does NOT have access to the Amazon Lockers.  Contact Amazon directly if you experience any issues. 

Third Party Delivery (UPS, USPS)

Your Amazon package may arrive on campus via UPS or USPS.  Once the package arrives on campus, it is received by a campus employee.  We receive hundreds of packages a day during the semester.  Once the package is received, it is routed to the Campus Post Office, where it is sorted, scanned, and placed in a locker. 

Local Amazon Delivery

Some Amazon packages (including Prime 2-Day delivery) come out of the local Amazon Hubs in Elizabethtown or Carlisle.  These packages are delivered by an Amazon employee directly to the Campus Post Office.  These packages must also be scanned and placed in a locker. 

Packages processed through the Campus Post Office are not received on the weekend.  UPS, Fed Ex, Amazon, and US Mail do NOT deliver packages to campus over the weekend.  Items listed for delivery on Saturday or Sunday will be delayed until the next business day. 

 

If you receive a delivery notification from your vendor that does not necessarily mean your package is ready for pickup.  The Campus Post Office needs to scan and place your package before you receive the notification from us.  It can take up to 24 hours for packages to processed after the vendor reports the package as "delivered". 

We recommend that you do NOT order food through the mail.  Food orders will be processed like any other package and could perish before you receive it.  Additionally, the Campus Post Office does not have access to refrigeration. 

Yes, if the package is too large to fit in a locker.  Stop by the Post Office between 9am and 4pm, Monday through Friday.  If you need schedule an off-hours pick up, email dcampbell@messiah.edu. 

We recommend that you prepare outgoing packages and prepay shipping costs using online services.  This can be done at UPS.com or USPS.com. 

USPS picks up from campus on weekdays between 7am and 8am.  Mail and packages received after 8am will go out the following business day. 

UPS picks up from campus on weekdays between 2 and 3pm.  Pacakges received after 2pm will go out the following business day. 

Fed Ex does NOT pickup from Messiah.  There is a Fed Ex Drop Box on Kacey Court in Mechanicsburg, which is close to Weis Store.
