Scholarships

The Department of Music annually designates three Music Scholarship Audition Days.   However, students may schedule an audition at anytime for acceptance into the department. ALL STUDENTS who audition for the Department of Music will be considered for talent awards.

There are three levels of awards for music students at Messiah College:

Daniel Vollmer Scholarship in Music

The Vollmer Scholarship in Music is a $5,000 award which is combined with any Provost's scholarship, and is awarded based on talent. This award is renewable up to four years, provided the student:

  • Remains a music major
  • Performs in appropriate ensembles
  • Maintains the appropriate GPA

Dean's Scholarship in Music

The Dean's Scholarship in Music is worth approximately $1,000 per year and is combined with any Provost's scholarship. The award is renewable up to four years, provided the student:

  • Remains a music major
  • Performs in appropriate ensembles
  • Maintains the appropriate GPA

Faculty and Endowed Scholarships

There are a variety of endowed one-time awards for incoming First-Year Students. These awards provide assistance for the first year of study and range in value from $1000 to $3000.
