Student Leadership Retreat
Developing Students of Influence
The annual fall Student Leadership Retreat is designed (1) to provide our student leaders with a significant shared experience, (2) for student leaders to get to know other student leaders, and (3) to have common learning around our leadership development model and strategies, Messiah University's mission and values, and the key leadership dimensions of character, calling, and competency. In addition, the retreat aims to encourage students to develop intentional relationships with peers that lead in a number of contexts and to develop a common identity as student leaders. Through the retreat, we also hope to model the importance of community and relationships across functional areas and roles.
The Student Leadership Retreat includes more than 170 students that were selected to serve in key leadership roles across campus. These students are involved in Residence Life, Student Government Association, Multicultural Council, Student Activities Board, Campus Ministries & Worship Community, the Collaboratory, Eyas, SAGE, Ambassadors, The Pulse, Sustainability, the Loft, Minds Matter, World Christian Fellowship and the Agapé Center.
