The Messiah University Dietetic Internship provides 19 graduate credits and is a full-time program requiring a minimum of 1,275 supervised practice hours and the completion of a variety of activities designed to stimulate and assess the development of the competencies for successful dietetics practice. The supervised practice sites will be selected by Messiah University and will be located in central Pennsylvania. Dietetic interns will be required to live in central Pennsylvania.

In addition to the supervised practice hours, interns will be expected to complete online learning activities related to their experiences, projects, and reports. These will be managed and submitted using the Messiah University online learning management system, Canvas. Interns must be familiar with basic word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and have a laptop or desktop computer which meets the program requirements, as well as an internet connection and a printer/scanner.
