POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Director of Student Engagement, the Intercultural Student Program Coordinator (GA) will assist in building relationships with students of color and supervising student-led programs focused on engaging students. This position contributes to Student Development retention and persistence efforts by maintaining engaging and educational programs focused on development a sense of community for students of color. This position also partners with others in Student Development for campus-wide programs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
ꞏ Foster an engaging and thriving intercultural student life experience.
ꞏ Develop and implement programming and support services for intercultural student groups and provide ongoing assessment to track outcome-based success.
ꞏ Provide insight to student success needs of students of color on a semesterly basis.
ꞏ Plan and execute campus-wide programs that seek to engage and include all students.
ꞏ Create and implement creative and effective marketing for events and programs.
ꞏ Research and benchmark best practices and field standards in intercultural student affairs.
ꞏ Assist in executing campus traditions as part of the Student Engagement team, including: Alpha Week, Fall Fest Weekend, Winter Welcome Week, Mr. And Miss OCU, and other large scale campus wide programs as directed.
ꞏ Collaborate with other student development staff members to plan and implement major campus programming events and to serve student needs through a wide variety of initiatives.
ꞏ Maintain regular Student Development office hours.
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
ꞏ According to Ohio Christian University employment policy, all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the OCU Community Lifestyle Statement.
Education, Training and Experience:
ꞏ Bachelor’s degree required.
ꞏ 1-2 years’ experience in an undergraduate student involvement/leadership role.
ꞏ Required enrollment in an OCU graduate program is expected to maintain this position.

ꞏ Working knowledge of Student Development Theory.

REMUNERATION
ꞏ Free housing and utilities (covered by the university).
ꞏ Silver meal plan (active when Dining Services are available).
ꞏ $3,000.00 annual stipend paid bi-monthly.
