By default, every page on the site (excluding messiah.edu) will use the “secondary default” template (this template is being used on this page).
Page banners are not required for pages using the secondary default template. In fact, lower level pages are recommended to not have page banners and focus on content. However, content managers do have the ability to add page banners.
Page banners for the secondary default template should be 816px x 289px at 72 ppi.

Site homepage banners aka "Hero" images
Site homepages use a different template (The school of the arts homepage is a site homepage http://www.messiah.edu/info/20184/school_of_the_arts). If you click the School of the Arts link, you can see it has a much larger page banner.
Campaign pages and other popular pages on the website (such as the academic major pages) can also use this template. Please contact the Web Services Office for more information on sub-site homepage banners.
Sub-site homepage banners should be 1620px × 732px at 72 ppi.
