Messiah University and La Roche enter enrollment agreement for Messiah’s MSAT program

Messiah and La Roche universities are excited to announce a bachelor’s + 2 MSAT enrollment partnership. The Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) has mandated that an individual must have a Master of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT) from an accredited program to take the Board of Certification Examination, which is required to practice.

This program will allow La Roche University students who complete a bachelor’s degree to move into Messiah’s MSAT program. Students may pursue any undergraduate degree as long as they successfully complete Messiah University MSAT prerequisites.

“La Roche’s Catholic heritage and its enduring commitment to co-creating a world of compassion, justice and peace make it a natural partner with Messiah University,” said Dr. Rob Pepper, associate provost for graduate and professional studies and university partnerships at Messiah. “This agreement establishes a formal pathway for La Roche University undergraduate students who want to pursue athletic training at the graduate level at a nationally ranked, accredited private Christian university.”
