About The Centennial Campaign

Messiah College: Christ Preeminent

The Centennial Campaign is a comprehensive, $40 million fundraising endeavor that was publicly launched on May 12, 2010 at a festive Centennial Campaign Gala celebration. The Centennial Campaign honors our 100-year heritage while simultaneously providing resources that will allow us to enter our next century with confidence in God’s continued provision.

The centerpiece of the Centennial Campaign is the construction of the Calvin and Janet High Center for Worship and Performing Arts. This building will provide much-needed performance and classroom space for Messiah's School of the Arts. A ceremonial groundbreaking took place on May 13, 2010, and the building is projected for completion in 2013.

Messiah College was, is, and always will be a place where bright, ambitious, and talented young people embark on journeys of intellect, character, and Christian faith as they prepare for lives of service, leadership, and reconciliation in church and society.

Because we have been entrusted with continuing our legacy of providing young men and women with a distinctive, transformative educational experience, we are commemorating the 100th anniversary of our founding and expectantly anticipating our future by launching the Messiah College Centennial Campaign.

In 100 years’ time, we have been faithfully proactive and responsive. As the world has changed, so have the structure, type, and scope of the programs we offer—as well as the buildings and places in which we offer them. But, our mission has never wavered. And it never will.

Because of generous alumni, friends, and countless others who believe in what we do, the Messiah College Centennial Campaign will allow us to sustain our distinctive mission and offer today’s students—and future students who will be tomorrow’s leader—a holistic educational experience that is second to none.

The Centennial Campaign is not only about gifts given to benefit Messiah College, its culmination will also be a gift that we share with the broader community through the lives of our students and graduates.

“This campaign is a celebration and an affirmation of a mission that has withstood the test of time. But most importantly, it is about and for our students."
