W-2 Information

When to Expect to Receive Your W-2:

W-2s annual income statements can not be processed until after the annual, quarterly, and monthly tax reconciliations are completed. Thus, the statements are usually mailed around the beginning of the last week of January. If you do not receive a W-2 by February 14, please feel free to contact the Payroll Office.

Where to Expect to Receive Your W-2:

Your W-2 will be mailed to the address that the Payroll Office has on file as your official "payroll address." In certain circumstances, the payroll address may be different than your mailing address. You may review your addresses at any time in Self-Service, under the Employee section.

Some international students and employees residing on campus will continue to receive their W-2s via your campus mail address.

In addition to the paper W-2 statement, your W-2 will also be accessible to current employees through Self‐Service. The statement you find there is acceptable for IRS, state, and local submissions. The online statement is accessible by following the directions outlined below.

Accessing Your W-2 online in Self-Service:

To safeguard your privacy, always remember to close your browser when you are done reviewing
your personal information.

  1. Go to Falcon Link at FalconLink.messiah.edu
  2. Login using your usual username and password
  3. Select the "Self-Service Main Menu" card
  4. Select “Employee"
  5. Select "Tax Forms"
  6. Select "W2 Wage and Tax Statement"
  7. Select the year you would like to view and press the Display button
  8. Note:  the printable version will require you to enter your password again

Temporary Employees:

  • Temporary/occasional employees do not typically have a username and password. If you do, you may use it. If you do not, will not be able to access your W-2 online.
