Suzanne C. Miller Messiah College to host GRANTHAM, Pa. (September 24, 2004) Messiah College’s School of the Arts, the Department of Music and College Ministries will host a Worship and the Arts Symposium on Friday, Oct. 15, from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. The Symposium will be held in Hostetter Chapel, located on the college’s Grantham campus and is free and open to the public. Pre-registration is required. To register or for more information, e-mail pbongior@messiah.edu. The Symposium will explore some of the key issues surrounding worship and the arts within today’s Christian community. Sessions will feature people from diverse denominational backgrounds who represent various perspectives relating to worship and the arts. Presenters will include Susanna Caroselli, professor of art and religion at Messiah; Geoff Twigg, worship pastor at West Shore Evangelical Church ; Myron Sauder, teacher and musician at Old Order River Brethren Church ; and Dan Baker, minister of music and drama at Christian Life Assembly of God. The day’s activities will also include performances by guest artists as well as members of Messiah College ’s Christian music studies faculty.
