Department of Business First Semester Blueprints

Department of Business

  • Students should register for a minimum of 12 credits and no more than 16.
  • All First-Year students are required to take First Year Seminar their first term. This is a required course, and each section focuses on a different topic for students to explore.
  • Students who have earned AP, CLEP, or IB credit should refer to the information provided here: AP, CLEP, IB Credit.
  • You can view the most up-to-date version of the schedule of classes by accessing The View.
  • Please note that Chromebooks and MacBook Air computers are not recommended for business majors because of the way that Excel works on those computers. MacBook Pros and standard laptops will work.
  • The Business department has created a short video to explain the blueprints for your major, so you can feel confident planning for your fall courses. Each student should plan to take between 12 and 16 credits. I recommend 14-15 credits for most students for their first semester.
