Director of Conference and Event Services

As Director of Conference and Event Services, Jody oversees the organization of hundreds of events during the academic school year and conferences, camps, and events during the summer months. She is a 1989 graduate of Messiah. Jody continues to serve as an adjunct instructor in the Human Development and Family Sciences Department and has also spent time in the Advancement Office working as a gift officer/fundraiser. Jody lives in Dillsburg with her husband Steve. They are parents to three adult sons.

Dennis Weller

Conference & Event Coordinator

Dennis Weller is a Conference Coordinator. Dennis has been part of the Messiah Community since 1978. After receiving his degree in Music Education in 1982, he began working as a college employee. In the summer Dennis works with off campus clients and with our basketball camps. During the school year, Dennis focuses on events sponsored by the Development Office, President's Office, Alumni Office, and Admissions. His interests in music and sports bring a variety of skills to event planning.

Conference & Event Coordinator

Abby is a 2012 Graduate of Messiah College. Abby started her career at Messiah as the Ticket Office Coordinator in 2014. She transitioned into her current role as Conference and Event Coordinator in 2015. Abby concentrates on the sports camps and supervision of the Conference Operations Team during the summer months. During the school year, Abby focuses on student activities. She enjoys hiking with her husband and three children and staying active through running.

Conference Services Office and Box Office Coordinator

As Conference Services Office Coordinator, Cindy is responsible for managing all internal and external room reservations through EMS software.  Cindy also coordinates and manages the Box Office providing assistance with ticket sales and support at events. She oversees the hiring and managing of student ticket takers and ushers who provide support at ticketed events.  During the summer conference season, Cindy works with conference and camp coordinators to organize housing needs, dining meal counts, and to program all access cards.

Spencer Rennels

Sound, Lighting, & Event Coordinator

Spencer provides technical support for live events requiring audio, video, and lighting on campus. In this role, he provides leadership to student technicians, maintains audio/video equipment, and coordinates the technical needs of chapel services. Spencer holds a bachelor's degree in Music Production from Malone University and a MDiv from Lancaster Theological Seminary. Spencer and his wife Rachel live in the Mechanicsburg area and enjoy attending live music events in our region.

Dianne Kirsch

University Receptionist

Dianne joined the Conference and Event Services staff in July 2023 as University Receptionist. In addition to her role as switchboard operator, Dianne manages fleet vehicle reservations, approved driver documentation, Homestead reservations and coordinates all Conference Services billing.  Dianne has experience in technical writing, paralegal duties, and transportation safety . She lives in Mechanicsburg with her family and is active parishioner of her church. She enjoys hiking, reading and word puzzles.

Julia Alejos

Sound & Lighting Technician

Julia assists in providing technical support for live events including audio, video, and lighting on campus. In her role, Julia helps to maintain audio/video equipment and strives to meet the technical needs of every event. She graduated from Messiah University in 2022 and holds a bachelor's degree in Music & Worship. Julia and her husband, Sebastian, live in Mechanicsburg.
