Messiah University’s online instruction track provides educators with the competencies needed to evaluate and design curriculum and deliver and assess effective instruction in the classroom and online.
Graduate students in the online instruction track are prepared to be effective leaders, practitioners and collaborators. The majority of the candidates will be PK-12 credentialed teachers seeking preparation in delivering and assessing instruction online, although this track is also available to people who are not formally prepared as teachers. It is ideal for public, charter, cyber and private regular PK-12 classroom teachers and community college faculty using flipped, hybrid, online and blended programs.
Messiah University is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, Commission on Higher Education. It is the highest accrediting authority recognized by the U.S. Department of Education for degree-granting colleges and universities located in Pennsylvania, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and several other locations internationally. Messiah’s teaching certification programs are accredited by the PA Department of Education. This track meets the requirements for the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) PK-12 Online Instruction Endorsement for individuals who have Pennsylvania Instructional I or II teacher certification.
