Messiah University’s graduate certificate in sport and performance psychology will develop you to help athletes, performers and other high-achieving individuals thrive personally and competitively. Drawing on knowledge from the disciplines of counseling and sport psychology, you will learn to apply evidence-based mental skills and psychological strategies that enhance performance, resilience and overall well-being. Through coursework grounded in ethical practice, multicultural awareness and Christian faith, you will explore the science of human performance, engage current scholarship and develop practical skills for working with athletic populations as well as performers in diverse settings.

No-fee tuition

With Messiah’s no-fee tuition, there are no additional university charges for labs, courses, services or technology. While some programs may involve additional expenses such as materials, travel or other external costs that vary by student, you won’t encounter unexpected fees from Messiah. This approach allows you to clearly understand and plan for the tuition portion of your graduate education.

Tuition cost for the entire 12 credit-hour program at the 2026-2027 rate: $9,840

MS in sport and performance psychology students are eligible to apply for federal financial aid. Tuition is subject to annual adjustment; historically, increases have averaged approximately 2-3% per year.
