Vice President of Human Resources & Compliance


The Vice President is responsible for the overall management of human resources, university-wide compliance programming, and oversight of the university's legal services. Amanda also serves as the University's Title IX coordinator. Contact the Vice President regarding employee and supervisory counseling, employee relations issues, performance management, staff training and development, harassment and discrimination complaints and issues regarding compliance.

Inger is responsible for managing the Data, Recruiting and On-boarding Team. She has overall responsibility for recruitment, video interviewing and hiring of staff and administrative employees as well as temporary staff. Inger works closely with and advises hiring managers throughout the recruitment process. She is responsible for managing the advertising/recruiting of faculty and she manages the faculty and administrative employee immigration process as well as the relocation process for newly hired administrators and faculty. She is available to assist with the coordination and training of certain search committees. Inger works to develop and implement intercultural competence education and programming University wide. She also works with supervisors to develop strategies for addressing employee concerns/issues.
Contact Inger regarding hiring manager’s recruitment questions including assistance with the development of recruitment plans, advertising and placement of position openings, assistance/training with PeopleAdmin Messiah’s applicant tracking software as well as questions related to employee concerns/issues. Inger serves as the second Human Resources & Compliance authority and resource for campus when the VP for Human Resources & Compliance is unavailable.

HRIS & Payroll Manager
Don Lerew
HRIS & Payroll Manager


Don has primary responsibility for human resource database management, including the implementation and support of Banner, PeopleAdmin, Self-Service and other employee-related applications. He oversees the job classification and compensation system and is responsible for conducting compensation evaluations. He is responsible for the design and delivery of a variety of management reports and analyses for both internal and external audiences as well as for maintaining the HR website. Don also manages the University's Payroll Office and the Student Employment Office.

Benefits Manager


Contact Su for assistance with benefits and the retirement program. Benefits issues include maternity/paternity leaves and short-term disability, workers' compensation, and information regarding the reporting of on-the-job injuries, family medical leave and general leaves of absence. Su is responsible for the administration of health and retirement benefits for faculty, staff, and administrative employees as well as for the educational assistance programs.

Data, Recruitment and Onboarding Coordinator

Data, Recruitment and Onboarding Coordinator


Karen is responsible for Human Resource Information System salary data administration and coordinating recruitment and on-boarding processes. Karen is the first point of contact for applicant questions and advises hiring managers as it relates to PeopleAdmin questions. She manages the letters of appointment and advertising of open positions. Karen is available to assist with supervisor’s wage and hour questions.

Compliance and Employee Education Coordinator

Compliance and Employee Education Coordinator


Helping to insure that the University is in compliance with federal, state and local environmental, health and safety regulations is a primary function of Donna's position. Her responsibilities include auditing compliance practices, helping departments develop compliance plans, educating employees on safety and compliance measures, and overseeing any mandated reporting to governmental and voluntary agencies. She is available to employees if there are safety concerns and is happy to discuss with you any safety suggestions you may have. Donna is also involved with the higher education aspects of compliance: FERPA, Title IX, Clery, etc. In addition, she is involved in professional development training for employees and facilitates the Administrative Support Staff Council.

Coordinator for Interpersonal Violence Prevention and Education

Coordinator for Interpersonal Violence Prevention and Education


Hannah is responsible for coordinating (as well as evaluating and revising as needed) a comprehensive university-wide violence response and prevention program. Responsibilities include working with the Department of Safety, the Title IX Coordinators, the Grievance Review Board and care teams to develop programs for educating employees, identifying resources for improving existing practices, facilitating prevention activities, and institutionalizing university-wide education programs suited for various constituencies.
In addition, Hannah works closely with students as a confidential resource and facilitates the intake for grievance processes.

Belinda functions as the primary coordinator of multiple aspects of the student employment process. This position is responsible for coordinating advertising, hiring, terminating and reporting for all student employees. She is also responsible for coordinating student employment-related training and events.

Jennifer is responsible for recruitment, on-boarding and HR data management support in the Office of Human Resources and Compliance.

Staci is the front line of Human Resources & Compliance and oversees the front office for the department. She is responsible for appraisals and performance feedback as well as managing the Human Resources master calendar and the calendar of the VP of Human Resources & Compliance. She is also responsible for managing employment and salary information on employees seeking loans and mortgages.

Payroll Coordinator

Payroll Coordinator


Cindy manages the payroll process and the associated tasks of tax research, tax filings and reporting to ensure compliance. Cindy also coordinates payroll-related projects.

Les has the responsibility to prepare and process the administrative, faculty and summer camp payroll. Les also assists with technical reporting, system processing and support for other payrolls.
