About the Community Covenant

Messiah University students' and employees' relationships with, and responsibilities to, each other are guided and directed by The Community Covenant , an agreement rooted in Messiah's distinct theological heritage and educational commitments, that discusses:

  • our freedoms and responsibilities as we live in community with one another;
  • our relationship with God, creation and each other; and
  • practical implications of community life.

At Messiah University, the Community Covenant provides a biblical framework and context for our community life and "affirms that life draws meaning from submission to Christ and service to others."
