Director of the NEXT Steps Program

When I was 10, I dreamed of becoming a veterinarian—until I realized they also treat sick and injured animals. While my love for dogs remains, my path shifted. For the past 15 years, I’ve worked as a special educator, helping young adults with disabilities build life and transition skills. I hold degrees from Temple and Johns Hopkins, but I believe the greatest lessons come from the people we serve. In my free time, you’ll find me floating down the Yellow Breeches, reading, listening to podcasts, spoiling my two German Shepard's, or chasing after my two little ones.

Assistant Director of the NEXT Steps Program

I spent many years trying to find my purpose, only to eventually realize that my purpose is to help others find theirs.  After 25 years of teaching high school Language Arts and coaching several sports, I am now blessed to be able to help guide students in the NEXT Steps program.  When not helping others, I enjoy spending time with my husband, reading, exercising and making sure my cats and Koi fish are living their best lives.

Resident Director of the NEXT Steps Program

I am delighted to serve as the Resident Director for the NEXT Steps program! I hold a B.S. degree from Geneva College in Special Education and Early Childhood Education. My prior experiences in this field include teaching special education and serving adults with disabilities in residential settings. I am excited for the opportunities to build relationships with students, to grow alongside them, and to live in community with others. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, reading, playing the piano, and traveling.
