SEVEN is a group of multi-talented musicians from Messiah University who have a heart for ministry, performance and creativity. They write, collaborate, perform concerts and lead worship with great enthusiasm and expression. They represent a wonderful cross-section of the Messiah University community, with members from a variety of academic majors.
SEVEN's mission is to spread the message of Jesus Christ through musical worship that incorporates each member's unique gifts and creativity.
Aiden is a Senior Commercial Music Major at Messiah. He grew up in Indiana, PA as well as in Royersford, PA. Aiden has been playing various instruments for most of his life, including guitar, trombone, piano, and bass. While not playing guitar, Aiden loves hiking, exploring, and playing disc golf. This is Aiden's first summer in SEVEN.
Rob is a junior commercial music major from Manchester CT. This summer he will be playing piano, bass, singing, and drums along with other percussion instruments. Outside of Seven, he enjoys writing and recording original songs. This is Rob's first summer in SEVEN.
Sophia Snyder is a junior history major at Messiah. She grew up in Malaysia and has been involved in worship leading most of her life. Aside from singing, she loves playing the guitar and piano (and the cajon too…). She also loves to read, eat, spend time with friends, go to the breeches, and thrift! This is Sophia's first year in SEVEN.
Timothy Tien is a senior Digital Media major with a concentration in Digital Video and Story. He is a returning member of SEVEN and hails from Klang, Malaysia. In SEVEN, he plays the drums, percussion, and occasionally sings as well. Outside of SEVEN, Tim likes documenting life through photography. He is also a classically trained tenor who especially loves early music. Bach is his bro.
Alden Walker is a Senior Commercial Music major with an emphasis in guitar. He hails from southern New Jersey in Haddon Township. He picked up the guitar when we was twelve but has been singing since he could talk. Alden loves listening to and learning all genres of music and is always looking to suggest and receive song recommendations. This is his second year in SEVEN, but his first year serving as the group's music director.
Alysse graduated from Messiah University this May 2024 as a Musical Theatre major. She grew up in Covina, California just outside the city of Los Angeles. This summer Alysse will be singing with SEVEN. While not spending time in rehearsal, she likes to paint, tube down the breeches, rock climb, and enjoy the people she is with. This is Alysse's first summer in SEVEN.
