Incoming Student Resources
Going to college is exciting! Our office wants to make your transition to college as smooth as possible so that students can focus on their academics. Here are some key items that every incoming student should know and complete to ensure a smooth financial transition here at Messiah University.
If you are a new student or an incoming transfer her at Messiah, it is important to complete the steps below.
Student Financial Responsibility
Enrollment at Messiah University constitutes a contractual financial obligation to pay any charges incurred as a result of registration for classes, enrollment for or cancellation of room and board agreements, fees, fines, or other charges incurred while a Messiah University student. It is the student's responsibility to:
- Review eBills when notifications are sent to the Messiah email account.
- Read all necessary information and communication that is sent out by Student Financial Services counselors and administrators.
- Contact Student Financial Services if payment cannot be made by the due date.
Financial Responsibility Agreement
All undergraduate students will be required to complete a "Financial Responsibility Agreement" before registering for courses each semester. By signing the Agreement, each student is acknowledging they are fully responsible for paying their educational cost while enrolled at Messiah each semester. When registration opens each semester, there will be an FRA hold automatically applied to a student's account. Students can easily remove their "FRA hold" themselves by signing their Financial Responsibility Agreement through the Accepted Student Resources Page.
*Disclaimer: Messiah's Accepted Student Resources webpage is only intended for new/incoming students to utilize as they transition into the Messiah community. Once students have arrived on campus, they'll need to use FalconLink, Messiah's current student portal, to access and complete various financial transactions/ requirements.
