The archives contains four divisions:
- Archives of the Brethren in Christ Church
- Archives of Messiah College
- Archives of Upland College
- Special Collections
In addition to the estimated holdings detailed on the above pages, as of summer 2013 there were approximately 605 boxes of material in storage awaiting processing.

The Brethren in Christ Historical Library contains books, periodicals, and other unpublished reference materials pertaining to church and family history. To learn more about the materials housed in the Historical Library, click here.

This digitization project has been partially funded with federal Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, administered by the Office of Commonwealth Libraries.
In addition to documents, photographs, and other paper materials, the archives also houses over 1,400 artifacts from church life. A small display area highlights various items from this collection. To learn more about the museum collection, click here.
