Based on the current forecast, Messiah University's Undergraduate Commencement on Saturday, May 11, is scheduled to proceed outdoors as originally scheduled for 10 a.m. at Starry Athletic Fields; no tickets required. Post-Bacc Admission

What do I need to apply?
To apply for admission to Messiah University as a “post-baccalaureate” teacher certification student, you will need to submit the following materials to the Certification Office:

  1. Application form for post-baccalaureate teacher certification status, available from the Certification Office.
  2. Official transcripts for all undergraduate and graduate coursework.
  3. Criminal History Clearances
  4. Two letters of reference from faculty who are familiar with your academic abilities. At least one letter must be from a faculty member of the major department where you completed your undergraduate degree. Messiah University graduates are not required to submit letters of reference.

What are the first steps?

  1. Schedule an appointment to discuss your program with the Certification Officer by emailing the certification office.
  2. Send copies of transcript(s) for informal transcript evaluation to the Messiah University Certification Office, One University Ave. Suite 3019, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, Fax: 717-691-2380.  These can also be sent to the email linked above.

We will guide you through the process after your initial meeting and when you decide you want to pursue post-bacc certification through Messiah University.
