GRANTHAM, Pa. (October 8, 2004) — The Messiah College Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Timothy Dixon, will perform their fall concert on Saturday, Oct. 30, at 8 p.m. in Miller Auditorium, located in Climenhaga Fine Arts Center, on the college’s Grantham campus. The concert is free and open to the public. For more information, call (717) 766-2511, ext. 3310.

Concert selections will include Franz Schubert’s “Symphony No. 8 ‘Unfinished,’” Edvard Grieg’s “Peer Gynt Suite No. 1” and Gioacchino Antonio Rossini’s “Overture to ‘The Barber of Seville.’” Messiah College voice faculty member Damian Savarino will also be featured on two arias by Mozart.

Messiah College , a private Christian college of the liberal and applied arts and sciences, enrolls more than 2,900 undergraduate students in 60 majors. Established in 1909, the primary campus is located in Grantham , Pa. , near the state capital of Harrisburg . A satellite campus affiliated with Temple University is located in Philadelphia .
