CONTACT: Beth L. Lorow Messiah College Jazz Combo to present an evening of jazz GRANTHAM, Pa. (March 24, 2005) — The Messiah College Jazz Combo will perform an evening of jazz music on April 7 at 8 p.m. in Poorman Recital Hall, located in the Climenhaga Fine Arts Center on the college’s Grantham campus. The concert is free and open to the public. For more information, call (717) 766-2511, ext. 3310. Under the direction of Kirk Reese, adjunct professor of music, the Jazz Combo is comprised of Messiah College students and staff. The groups will perform vocal and instrumental jazz covering a variety of genres and eras. The setting will be an informal “café” style with light refreshments provided during the performance. Messiah College, a private Christian college of the liberal and applied arts and sciences, enrolls more than 2,900 undergraduate students in 50 majors. Established in 1909, the primary campus is located in Grantham, Pa., near the state capital of Harrisburg.
