CONTACT: Beth L. Lorow Friends of Murray Library at Messiah College seeks book donations for annual book sale GRANTHAM, Pa. (Jan. 31, 2007) — Friends of Murray Library at Messiah College is currently seeking donations of hardcover books and paperbacks for its 12th annual book sale, which will take place from March 31 to April 4. Children's books, CDs, music scores, videos, DVDs and maps are also being collected. Donations of books and other materials will be accepted at any time between now and the sale. Readers may drop off donations at Murray Library, located on Messiah College’s Grantham campus. The library is open Mon. through Fri. from 7:30 a.m. to midnight, Sat. from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sun. from 2 p.m. to midnight. For more information, contact Cherie Fieser at (717) 691-6006, extension 7181. Proceeds will be used to fund special collections for Murray Library, to finance annual Library Research Grants for Messiah College students and to sponsor public lectures and programs. Last year, half of the sale proceeds were contributed to William Carey College in Gulfport, Miss., to replace books lost in Hurricane Katrina. Messiah College, a private Christian college of the liberal and applied arts and sciences, enrolls more than 2,800 undergraduate students in 50 majors. Established in 1909, the primary campus is located in Grantham, Pa., near the state capital of Harrisburg.
