Formed in 1988, Philadelphia Brass performs the finest brass literature of all styles and periods, collaborating with a wide array of artists from bands and choruses to dancers and clowns. Due to their versatility, the ensemble has performed on various stages, including the Royal Albert Hall. Their talent and dedication has also been recognized as they were named top prizewinner in the prestigious Raphael Mendez Competition. The professional ensemble includes accomplished musicians Anthony Cecere on French horn, Robert Gale on trombone, Brian Kuszyk on trumpet, Scott Mendoker on tuba and Lawrence Wright on trumpet.  Displaying incredible musicianship and concern for the upcoming generation of musicians, Philadelphia Brass is dedicated to educating the public to the pleasures and subtleties of brass chamber music through clinics and residences at conservatories, universities and communities across the country.

The remaining 2007-2008 Cultural Series lineup of performers includes Leon Bates and Borealis Wind Quintet, covering a broad range of styles from opera aria to piano and wind pieces on March 7 and Triple Play with leader Chris Brubeck, son of jazz great Dave Brubeck, performing an eclectic collection of jazz, folk and classical on April 11.
