The Assistant Student Director supports the leadership and coordination of student volunteer teams both on campus and in the surrounding community. This role works closely with the Director of Outreach to ensure smooth operations and engagement with local partners. Nina is directly involved in planning and coordinating our domestic and international service trips. Contact Nina if you are interested in learning more about upcoming trips or serving as a driver, student team leader or participant.

Bethesda Mission's Community Center is a space where students can come and hang out with friends in a supportive and caring environment. Messiah student volunteers spend time with and build relationships with middle and high school students through activities like board games, video games, or playing sports. Bethesda Women's Shelter has offered a place of healing, change, and hope for women in need of addiction recovery, safety and stability, a new start in life, and a place they can call home. Students who serve with the Women's Shelter assist in meeting the needs of the Women's Shelter by organizing and cataloging material donations and cleaning the shelter kitchen. Contact Roma if you are interested in serving at Bethesda Women's Shelter!

Bethesda Mission's Community Center is a space where students can come and hang out with friends in a supportive and caring environment. At the after-school program, Messiah students build relationships with elementary and middle school kids through play and homework help. Center for Champions strives to provide one-on-one relationships between a Christian mentor and Harrisburg youth to help them discover God's plan for their lives. Through the Agapé Center, students connect with middle school kids through team competitions, Bible lessons, and one-on-one mentoring. Messiah Lifeways is a non-profit retirement community that seeks to provide residential community services to older adults with Christ-like love. Through the Agapé Center, students can develop a one-on-one relationship with a resident of the Messiah Lifeways community. Contact Jenna if you are interested in serving with Messiah Lifeways 1:1!

Students serving with the Agapé Center join the residents of Messiah Lifeways in arts and crafts while fellow shipping and building relationships to participate in life-long learning and service with the residents. Contact Kamila if you are interested in serving!

New Hope Ministries is a social service agency that aims to transform lives by serving others in their times of need through the love and hope of Christ. With the Agapé Center, students assist in areas such as the food pantry, warehouse, or interacting with their guests. Contact Lana if you are interested in serving at New Hope Ministries!

Paxton Ministries is a non-profit organization that provides affordable housing and support services to adults challenged with poverty, mental illness, and intellectual disabilities. The students serving with the Agapé Center help facilitate weekly activities aimed at having fun and building new friendships with residents. The Salvation Army is an interracial, non-profit organization that seeks to share the gospel by meeting the basic needs of the individuals they serve. With the Agapé Center, students can build relationships with elementary- aged children by assisting with homework and participating in fun activities. Wildheart Ministries is a non-profit organization that seeks to share the transforming power of the Gospel by empowering residents of Allison Hill and restoring the community. With the Agapé Center, students would assist with community beautification projects, community gardening, and community events. LHM-Horizons is a transitional housing, non-profit organization that provides a critical resource for individuals and families facing homelessness in South Central Pennsylvania. With the Agapé Center, students can make participants feels welcomed and respected as they serve them a meal. Contact Lydia if you are interested in serving with LHM-Horizons!
