Yes! If you already hold a bachelor’s degree in another field, Messiah’s graduate teaching programs are designed for career changers. You can pursue initial PA teacher certification through our flexible, online graduate programs.
No prior teaching experience is required for either the undergraduate or graduate teaching certification programs. Our programs include practical, hands-on experiences to prepare you for the classroom—even if you’re starting from scratch.
Yes. Both our undergraduate and graduate teaching programs are approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, preparing you to become a certified teacher in Pennsylvania and other states through reciprocity agreements.
Our graduate teaching programs are offered fully online, designed to accommodate working professionals and career changers. Undergraduate teaching programs are primarily delivered on-campus in Mechanicsburg, PA, with in-person classroom experiences starting as early as your first year.
