Dogwood Run - Influence of geochemical inputs on the benthic community structure.  Study uses sediment cages for controlled substrate size.  Sediments are colonized by macroinvertebrates in various stream sections with sandstone, limestone and a blended geology. (ongoing research)

Trindle/Silver Spring Run - Ecotoxicology project using Chironomidae mentum deformities as indicators of organic chemical pollution.  In addition, standard macroinvertebrate biomonitoring at each site is also performed. (1 student, 2025-26)
