Jeanette Monteith
Dr. Jeanette Monteith is a dedicated educator and advocate with over two decades of experience in early childhood and special education. She holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D) in Special Education from Slippery Rock University, a Master of Education (M.Ed) in Early Childhood Special Education from the University of Toledo, and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Early Childhood/Elementary Education from Mount Aloysius College. Dr. Monteith began her teaching career in 2003, working in early childhood general education classrooms. Since 2009, she has devoted her career to early childhood special education, serving students with diverse developmental and learning needs across school districts in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia. In addition to her classroom work, Dr. Monteith has spent the past five years volunteering as a consultant for families of children with disabilities, offering guidance and advocacy throughout the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process in both Maryland and West Virginia. Her passion for inclusive education is rooted in her belief that every child deserves a voice, a plan, and a team committed to their success.

Outside the classroom, Dr. Monteith enjoys time with her family. She has been married for 25 years and is the proud mother of four children. In her free time, she cherishes quiet days at the family cottage, especially fishing with her daughters. A committed Christian, Dr. Monteith looks forward to building relationships with staff and students in an environment where she can openly share her faith. She values faith-based community as a foundation for trust, compassion, and service.
