Meet the faculty:
Thomas S. Soerens
Dr. Soerens teaches in Environmental and Civil engineering with specialties in water resources, storm water, ground water, and water treatment. He performs design and applied research in water systems in rural developing communities. He is a licensed Professional Engineer and a Certified Ecological Designer. Dr. Soerens has worked in several countries including two years as a water and sanitation engineer in the Maldives. He has also worked for the USEPA and for engineering consulting firms.
He and his wife Kelly have four adult children. For hobbies, he enjoys biking, and playing the guitar
