Brenda White, Ph.D., LAT, ATC

Brenda White joins the Department of Health, Nutrition, and Exercise Science after serving as an adjunct and part-time athletic trainer during the past 8 years. After graduation from Messiah, she received a Master of Art degree in Psychology at Washington College and a Master of Education from Wilmington University. She then became the Head Athletic Trainer at Washington College in Chestertown, MD. She returned to Messiah College in 2001 and served as a Resident Director for 5 years prior to her return to athletic training. Brenda is currently in a PhD program in Higher Education with an emphasis in administration at Regent University in Virginia Beach.  

One of her research interests involves the impact of reflection in situations and reflection on situations on self-confidence in athletic training students. She is also interested in developing clinical decision-making ability and the process of moving from a novice to an expert clinician. 

Brenda and her family love all things outdoor from sports to camping, hiking, and skiing. Brenda lives in Dillsburg with her husband, Eric, daughter, Madeline, and sons, Garrett and Logan.
