Leah Smock
Associate Director of Enrollment, Graduate and Professional Studies
Leah enjoys connecting with prospective students as she shares information about the unique opportunities available through Messiah’s graduate programs. She assists students with all stages of the application process and offers support as students make decisions related to their future educational and professional goals. Leah graduated from Messiah University with a B.A. in Psychology. Prior to her role as Graduate Enrollment, Leah worked in the behavioral health field for 10 years and also spent many years working in undergraduate admissions.
Leah recruits for the Counseling Program, Master of Social Work program and the Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics/Dietetic Internship.

Rusty Hoffman
Associate Director of Admissions, Transfer Recruitment
Rusty loves Messiah for its welcoming academic community and the dedication to combine rigorous academics with a Christian worldview. He graduated from Messiah in 2008 with a degree in athletic training and is privileged to be working with students throughout the admission process.
Rusty recruits for the Master of Science in Athletic Training Program. Rusty also works with students in the undergraduate admissions process including athletic tranining and transfer students.

Carly Rippeon
Assistant Director of Enrollment, Graduate & Professional Studies
Carly is driven to help students on their educational journey. She graduated from Messiah University with a B.A. in Human Development and Family Science, a minor in Pre-counseling and Therapy, and Children and Youth Services. Carly found her desire for higher education working as an undergrad admissions assistant during her time as a student at Messiah.
Carly recruits for the Physical Therapy Program (DSc and DPT), the Nursing Program and the Business & Leadership Program.

Julia Varela
Assistant Director of Enrollment, Graduate & Professional Studies
Julia is overjoyed to be working as the Assistant Director of Enrollment, Graduate and Professional Studies at Messiah University. Her passion for education led to her work in higher education. Serving individuals looking to advance their education has been the highlight of her career. She is an ongoing learner herself, as a current graduate student and Messiah alumna. Her prior experience is rooted in admissions and nonprofits.
Julia recruits for the Education Program, Music Program, Master of Occupational Therapy Program and the Higher Education Leadership Program.
