Messiah’s post-master’s Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies (CAGS) nurse educator track is designed for licensed registered nurses who already hold a graduate degree in nursing. This flexible program supports nurses who are ready to influence the future of healthcare through education.
Designed for experienced nurses who want to teach, the nurse educator Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies (CAGS) equips master’s prepared registered nurses to step confidently into instructional roles across academic, clinical and healthcare settings. This program emphasizes effective teaching strategies, curriculum development and learner evaluation, helping students translate clinical expertise into meaningful learning experiences. Through coursework and teaching practicums, the program prepares graduates to educate, mentor and guide students and colleagues in diverse nursing education contexts.
The baccalaureate degree program in nursing, the master's degree program in nursing, and the Doctor of Nursing Practice program at Messiah University are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (http://www.ccneaccreditation.org).
