You have heard the phrase, "Hurting people hurt people." However, at Messiah, my experience is best described by the phrase, "Loving people love people." The Messiah community is filled with colleagues and students with great intellect and deep faith. Faith and intellect are beautifully integrated and presented at MU. The superiority of intellect is not used to puff up oneself; instead, the expanded knowledge is encouraged to be used as an instrument for God's love.

I wanted an opportunity to serve at a university that partners with students during their spiritual journey. Working at Messiah allowed me to be an advocate, mentor, and servant for all students. What I love most about Messiah though, is the authentic and intentional community on our campus. Everyone that I have encountered or collaborated with has been incredibly intentional, as we work together in supporting students.

Working with the students at Messiah University is such an absolute pleasure! I feel that God has led me to this fabulous community to mentor student employees. I love my interactions with them and am always learning something from them! From the moment they start as a first-year student and new employee at the Dining Hall, to the proud moments at graduation, this community is family to me!

"I love working at Messiah because I am surrounded by people (employees and students) who are committed to excellence in their work and studies as part of living out their understanding of what it means to love God and others wholeheartedly. I especially appreciate the opportunity to work with and learn from people who share a commitment to the core tenets of the Christian faith while we respectfully represent a diversity of viewpoints on other issues."
