Honors Program Scholarships

The Honors Program exemplifies Messiah University's commitment to academic excellence and fostering an intellectually rigorous Christian world view.

The Honors Program is designed for students who demonstrate high scholarly ability early in their academic career. The program provides a series of interdisciplinary honors courses which satisfy selected general education requirements. Participation in the program culminates in an honors research project, typically during the senior year. In addition, various campus activities are designed each semester for participants in the Honors Program.

Admission to the program is highly competitive and students selected for the Honors Program receive either full tuition (Trustees') or partial tuition (President's or Faculty) scholarships. There are three different levels of Honors Scholarships that can be earned and all require participation in the Honors Program.

To qualify a student must complete the Messiah University application process prior to January 15 and have a combination of SAT, ACT or CLT scores and high school GPA that falls within the parameters of the following chart.

Selected applicants will be invited to participate in a virtual Honors Day as part of the interview process throughout the fall and winter seasons. After attending this event, students MUST register for a one-on-one interview with faculty or a staff member in the weeks that follow. Recipients of these premier scholarships will be selected by a committee from a pool of first-year applicants and notified of decisions in March once all interviews are completed.

*These scholarships may not be combined with any other Messiah University premier scholarships.

**These scholarships are not available to transfer students or students starting in the spring semester.
