Associate Professor, Master of Occupational Therapy Program
Joanna is a dedicated OT educator, researcher, and practitioner with expertise in inclusive excellence, interprofessional education, artificial intelligence, and chronic disease management. Her clinical background spans outpatient, inpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and home health care, with advanced training in lifestyle redesign, LSVT-BIG, dementia care, and orthopedic manual therapy. Joanna finds it rewarding to see students’ clinical reasoning evolve throughout the program and into their professional practice. In addition to teaching, Joanna serves as Vice President for Medical Affairs at the Dysautonomia Support Network. Outside of work, you can find her brewing tea, reading, crafting, and hanging with her husband and free-range cat Julian.
