I'm at Messiah because...

There’s no place quite like it. I had the privilege of working at Messiah early in my career, and my faith was shaped and strengthened as a result. Coming to Messiah in 2006 introduced me to the Brethren in Christ denomination, which my family has now been part of for ~20 years and which has become a spiritual home and haven for us. Now, as a proud Messiah parent, I can see first-hand the way Messiah is preparing my daughter for her career as a nurse and my son-in-law for a path in engineering. I’m beyond grateful to be part of this community and mission.

Development matters because...

It’s a catalyst to link people to others in a deep and meaningful way, provide donors with an opportunity to invest in something beyond themselves for the greater good, and make a profound difference in the world. Philanthropy invites us as individuals to be less absorbed with our own problems and more concerned with our neighbors. And when we lift our heads to consider the world around us, we in turn experience deep happiness and satisfaction through the act of giving. After all, it is more blessed to give than to receive.

These things are important to me:

Jesus. My husband, our adult kids, extended family, and good friends. The community of faith I’m part of at Dillsburg Brethren in Christ Church. Music. And my dogs.
