President’s Leadership Council

President Stuckey created the President’s Leadership Council in 2026 to help ensure that the University’s divisions and departments are effectively integrating and working together seamlessly on major initiatives and policies. To this end, the following university leaders meet monthly with President’s Cabinet to create broader input and counsel across a variety of institutional issues and priorities.

Inger Lindquist Blount

Assistant Vice President for Human Resources

The Assistant Vice President for Human Resources is responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight of the University's human resources operations, including supporting employee success and organizational effectiveness. This role provides leadership in areas such as talent acquisition, onboarding, HR systems and data management, compensation, benefits, employee relations, performance management, and talent development.

Inger earned her master’s degree in higher education from Messiah and her bachelor’s degree in human resource management from the University of Northwestern – St. Paul.  She holds SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) certification, and serves on the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities Human Resources Commission. 

Inger has served in various roles in the Human Resources Department since beginning work at the University in 1998, including her most recent position of Director of Human Resources.

Sarah Gustin-Hamrock

Executive Director of Athletics

Sarah Gustin-Hamrock joined Messiah University as the Executive Director of Athletics in July 2020. In her role, she gives leadership to the Messiah Athletics Department which is home to 22 teams, 15 head coaches, and over 500 student-athletes. She is responsible for providing support for student-athletes, coaches, athletic training, NCAA compliance, game day and event management, admissions, and athletics development initiatives while advancing the athletics department goal to “Pursue athletic excellence and Build Christian Character.”

Gustin-Hamrock earned her doctorate from Georgetown University in Liberal Studies with a focus on leadership and team dynamics, her MPA (Master of Public Administration) from College of Charleston/University of South Carolina and her B.A. in communications from Michigan State. After 16 years in collegiate coaching, she transitioned to administration and has served on various NCAA and DII and DIII Committees. She was recently asked to serve as a Commissioner on the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities’ Athletics Commission. She is also a member of Women Leaders in Sports and the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics.

John P. Zeigler, Esq.

Executive Director for Development

John P. Zeigler, Esq., joined the Development Office at Messiah University in 2022, and is currently the Executive Director for Development. In this role, John oversees Alumni and Parent Relations, Annual Giving, Planned and Leadership Gifts, Prospect Research and Record Compliance, major gifts fundraising plans, university campaigns, and the Law at Messiah (LAM) program.

Before coming to Messiah, John practiced law, was a Division I coach, and served as a university advancement professional at his alma mater.

John received his B.A. in Political Science from Bucknell University and his J.D. from Widener Commonwealth School of Law.
