Lighthouse is a student-led advocacy community that brings attention to local and global human rights issues through the belief that every person bears inherent dignity and worth (Imago Dei). We work alongside campus and community partners to raise awareness, foster dialogue, and encourage thoughtful action. Through educational events, conversations, and collaborative initiatives, Lighthouse creates space for students to engage faithfully in justice-oriented work rooted in care, accountability, and respect for all people.

Service Opportunity Leaders provides numerous opportunities for students to engage in consistent service-learning with local community partners, helping to fulfill community needs and facilitating student learning and growth.
Each semester, Local Outreach coordinates teams of student volunteers to serve alongside community partners. We offer a wide range of service opportunities, including service with the homeless population, individuals with special needs, children and youth, ESL programs, the elderly and urban gardening. Each team is led by a trained Local Service Leader who communicates with the Community Partner and student volunteers, provides transportation, and facilitates reflection to foster personal growth and learning.

The Agapé Center Service Trips Team works with a variety of community partners to coordinate domestic and international service trips during academic breaks. Through service, we hope students will experience enriching and challenging growth, which will help to foster learning of oneself, of the needs of others and of the role that service plays in society through a lens of Christian faith.
