FAFSA: Applying for need-based aid
Submitting a FAFSA for the upcoming school year?
If you wish to be considered for any need-based aid (such as federal, state aid and/or institutional need-based grants and scholarships, like the Messiah University Grant), you must submit the FAFSA for each year you plan to attend Messiah.
Messiah's preferred deadline to receive your FAFSA is April 1!
Messiah University's school code: 003298
The FAFSA form allows students to request federal grants, work-study funds, and loans, all in one application. Most state grant programs also utilize the FAFSA form and Messiah University will only award need-based assistance if a student has a valid FAFSA on file for the year in which the student plans to attend.
After you and your contributor complete each of your FAFSA form portions, it will take a few days for the Federal Student Aid system to process your application. Please also allow additional time for Messiah to then receive your FAFSA and be sure to double check you've marked Messiah as a recipient in your studentaid.gov account!
Once Messiah receives a valid FAFSA to your MyAid financial portal, you can review the status of your financial aid package online. Not sure how to navigate your financial portal? Visit our MyAid financial portal resource page to learn more.
