Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
SFP is an online system that helps you manage your financial aid automatically and in real time. It gives you a clear view of your entire aid package so you can make informed financial decisions.
- Go to myaid.messiah.edu.
- Scroll to the bottom and click Messiah Login.
- Enter your Messiah username and password.
- Accept the consent to conduct business electronically when prompted.
Once logged in, you can see if your FAFSA has been received and view any required documents for verification.
Click Forgot Password on the login page. Follow the instructions to reset your password.
You’ll see all the aid you qualify for—Federal, State, and Institutional—once awards are ready. This includes any aid based on your FAFSA.
- Incoming fall students begin receiving awards late January or several weeks after submitting their FAFSA and all documentation.
- Continuing students’ packages are released on July 15.
- Log in to SFP.
- Click your profile icon at the top right.
- Under Manage Proxy Access, sign the FERPA form and provide consent.
- Add your parent or guest’s email (lowercase only).
- Assign the role Default Proxy and click Save.
- Your parent or guest will receive an email with instructions to log in.
No. Each student needs a unique email for their parent or guest, even if both students attend Messiah.
- Click the Documents tab at the top of the portal.
- Click the Upload icon next to the item.
- Choose your file (PDF, JPEG, GIF, or PNG).
- Complete any required fields and submit.
Only the owner of the document request can upload it. If the parent is the owner, they can upload after being granted access.
