American Politics Program in Pennsylvania
Politics and international relations majors with an American politics concentration will delve into the American political system by analyzing political institutions, the impact of policy and political forces while also taking courses on Congress, the presidency and the Supreme Court.
While formal governing institutions make up an important part of American politics, students in this concentration will also study political parties, public opinion and the law. You have the option to pair your regular coursework with either an internship or a hands-on class taught by a practitioner in the field.

Messiah's unique approach to hands-on learning
Learning in the classroom is important but actually applying that knowledge in a hands-on way can make all the difference. At Messiah University, the Experiential Learning Initiative (ELI) allows Messiah to take this hands-on learning to a new level by giving students the opportunity to apply what they have learned to various real world contexts--such as an internship/practica, service learning, off-campus program, holding a student leadership position, or participating in undergraduate research.
