Develop, organize and manage business ventures across various fields of business.
As a business administration major, you will have the opportunity to design a customized program of study across the business disciplines which accents your chosen career theme. The entrepreneurship concentration prepares you to start a new venture, be a productive member of an innovative firm, assume responsibilities in a family business or become a productive manager in a growing business. Entrepreneurship is also offered as a minor, which you may pair with other majors.
The Center for Entrepreneurship will provide you with hands-on business ventures and knowledgeable resources during your time as a student at Messiah University to develop your skills and passion for entrepreneurial efforts. You'll collaborate with other students, faculty and local business professionals in our on-campus Innovation Lab, a space where you'll be able to foster creativity and learn directly from industry leaders. This in-person lab will serve as a resource for you to build relationships with peers and make connections with professionals serving in the business field. You can also participate in our Impact Venture Challenge, a business plan competition dedicated to exploring innovative solutions to critical impact areas facing society.
In the Entrepreneurship program, you will take a selection of courses that successfully prepare you for a career in a related field. Hands-on experiences and classroom learning within the framework of Christian faith will give you the skills and knowledge to achieve your goals. Our programs offer a wide variety of courses that will not only help you excel in your future career, but challenge you to develop a deeper understanding of your field of study.

95% of the Class of 2024 respondents were employed or in graduate school within 6-9 months of graduation.
Regional and national employers seek out Messiah graduates for their academic preparation, work ethic and personal character. The transformation you experience at Messiah readies you to transform the lives of others through your chosen career path.
Learning in the classroom is important but actually applying that knowledge in a hands-on way can make all the difference. At Messiah University, the Experiential Learning Initiative (ELI) allows Messiah to take this hands-on learning to a new level by giving students the opportunity to apply what they have learned to various real world contexts--such as an internship/practica, service learning, off-campus program, holding a student leadership position, or participating in undergraduate research.
Messiah actively prepares you for a career in entrepreneurship through its Center for Entrepreneurship. The Center for Entrepreneurship uses hands-on business ventures and knowledgeable resources during your time as a student at Messiah University to develop your skills and passion for entrepreneurial efforts in your community. We'll help you establish your knowledge of best practices through foundational courses in entrepreneurship; encourage you to participe in immersive opportunities both on and off campus; and help you put your skills into action as you step into your calling and career.
Like many business students, you may opt to participate in internships which turn work experiences into learning opportunities and make connections between classroom theory and the "real world." Internships with nonprofit organizations offer a special opportunity to serve the community. Often internships lead directly to full-time career employment.
Grow your entrepreneurial skills by participating in our Impact Venture Challenge, a business plan competition dedicated to exploring innovative solutions to critical impact areas facing society. Learn how to invest and earn profit through the Investment Club, a hands-on laboratory experience that creates an income stream providing funding for student organizations. You may even wish to travel to Europe, Asia and the Middle East with the International Business Institute!
