Service Trips
Service Trips
Service Trips allow students to engage with diverse communities through acts of service and fellowship. Through service, we hope students will experience enriching and challenging growth which will help to foster learning of oneself, of the needs of others, and of the role that service plays in society through a lens of Christian faith.
- Priority 1 Ministries (Bronx, New York): October 17, 2025 - October 22, 2025
- Throughout your time in New York, you will serve in soup kitchens, on prayer walks, and within after-school programs.
- City Service Mission (Nashville, Tennessee): October 19, 2025 - October 26, 2025
- While with City Service Mission, you will work with homeless shelters, food pantries, after-school programs, and other community partners.
The applications for Fall Break Service Trips will open September 5th.
Feel free to email jessica.carroll@messiah.edu for any additional questions you may have!
- The Philadelphia Project (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania): Dates To Be Determined
- While in Philadelphia, students will be working with TPP, helping to rebuild homes, working within their youth outreaches, doing a prayer walk throughout the city, and more.
- Praying Pelican Missions (North Carolina): Dates To Be Determined
- While in North Carolina, students will be helping in the restoration and reconstruction of the community following the devastation of long-term flooding. They will be learning from the community they will be in, and may help facilitate youth outreaches, and house restoration, and will work directly with PPM and their partner organizations.
The application for Spring Break Service Trips will open in Spring Semester.

International Service Trips
The International Service and Missions Program seeks to involve students in cross-cultural service and ministry experiences during their summer break. If you enjoy learning from other people, have a heart for service, and a desire to explore the integration of your faith and service into your life, we would like you to consider joining one of our International Service Trip teams!
We look for people who are:
- Flexible
- Eager to learn from others
- Exhibiting a basic understanding of service
- Willing to step outside of their comfort zones
Through our program, we anticipate students will mature in their sense of self, foster deep relationships among teammates; and demonstrate an appreciation of human differences through interacting with the culture and people of the host country. The application process and team selection takes place each Fall.

PCM has served the nation of Poland since 1954. Today, PCM has over 44 Christian church partners and four para-church organizations. PCM focuses on planting churches, providing resources, and promoting friendships. PCM serves as a bridge between churches in Poland and churches in the States.
Students will be traveling to Płock, Poland where they will have an opportunity to share personal testimonies of faith, spend time with host families, teach English to youth (ages 14-18) in local high schools, and support initiatives of the local church.
