Clearances
Why do I need clearances?
Students volunteering through the Agapé Center are required by some of our community partners to obtain certain clearances to ensure the safety of the populations that they serve, as well as that of other volunteers. Not all of our volunteer programs require all of the following clearances, so be sure to check with your Outreach Leader to verify which clearances you might need.
When you have completed all of your required clearances, please email them to your Outreach Leader and outreach@messiah.edu.

If you've been a resident of PA for the last 10 years, you may not have to complete the FBI background check. Please reach out to your Local Outreach Coordinator if this is the case.
