Into The City Program

Into the City

Into the City is an intensive multi-day career immersion and networking program intended to introduce students to living, working, and connecting in the city. For more information, please download the Into the City brochure!

This fall, we are going to Charlotte, NC! 

As part of the trip, we will be spending 2 nights at a beach resort in Myrtle Beach, SC! 

Employers we will be visiting include: 

  • Piedmont Airlines 
  • Wells Fargo
  • Envoy Capital Advisors 
  • Bojangles Corporate Offices 
  • Fellowship of Christian Athletes 

Into the City: Charlotte, NC 

  • Trip applications were due September 21 
  • Question responses and an uploaded resume are required.
  • Applications without this information will not move forward in the process.

Into the City: Charlotte, NC Information Session

  • Information Session will be held September 10 from noon-1pm in Parmer Cinema 
  • Attendance at the information session is not required to participate in the ITC trip.

Information for Employers and Alumni

Opportunities for employer involvement include:

  • Hosting a site visit at your place of employment (typically 1-2 hours long, and may consist of components such as a brief tour, talk with an HR representative, or panel presentations).
  • Sponsoring parts of the trip, such as transportation, lodging, or meals. 

There are numerous ways for Messiah University alumni, parents, and friends to become involved in the Into the City experience:

  • Host a site visit at your place of employment (typically 1-2 hours long and may consist of components such as a brief tour, talk with an HR representative or panel presentations).
  • Serve on an alumni panel, which is typically held over the lunch hour.
  • Attend or host a networking event.

Benefits of involvement include:

  • Make a direct impact on Messiah University students' personal and professional development through sharing experience and expertise.
  • Connect with potential recruits for internships, volunteer, or employment opportunities.
  • Brand and enhance your organization by connecting with high-quality, service-minded, top-talent candidates.
