Friends of Murray Library Events

24th Annual Dinner & Public Program: November 13, 2026

This year's annual dinner and public program will be held on Friday, November 13 from 6-8:30 p.m. in Murray Library.  Following dinner, we will hold a public program with keynote speaker, Phil Smith, Senior Development Ambassador with HOPE International and co-author of the book, The Way Back to One Another: How to Live as People Created for Community.  Phil will examine the growing isolation, loneliness, and disconnection affecting people across our society, both inside and outside the church.  Drawing from Scripture, lessons from the global church, and examples of Christ-centered communities close to home, he will cast a vision for confronting the loneliness epidemic and cultivating the meaningful relationships God intended.  Based on his research and writing, Phil will offer practical, accessible ways for individuals and churches to move beyond isolation and into life-giving community - to become people known not for our loneliness, but for our love.  Don't miss this special evening!
